Itinerary

Day 1 - Saturday: Departure

Board your International flight to Johannesburg; we offer departures from most major Cities in the USA and Canada.

Day 2 - Sunday: Arrival - Johannesburg

On arrival in Johannesburg, you'll be met by your representative and transferred from the airport to your hotel.

Evening Tour Briefing and meet fellow travelers.

Overnight in Johannesburg.

Meals included today: No meals.
Activities included today: Arrival in Johannesburg.

Day 3 - Monday: Johannesburg - Mpumalanga - Hazyview

After breakfast, depart Johannesburg to Mpumalanga Province, arrive in the farming town of Hazyview. Upon arrival check-in to your hotel.

We'll then drive along the Panorama Route and enjoy spectacular scenery including the Blyde River Canyon, Bourke's Luck Potholes, The Three Rondawels, and God's Window. Explore this region full of magnificent views, considered one of the most scenic routes in South Africa.

Continue with a Lunch Stop in the Town of Graskop (own account).

Overnight in Hazyview.

Activities included today: Travel by Road Johannesburg - Hazyview. Driving tour of the Panorama Route.

Day 4 - Tuesday: Hazyview - Kruger National Game Park

Enjoy an early morning game drive (in a closed vehicle) in the Kruger Park with a packed breakfast.

Kruger is one of the world's greatest national parks, home to the Big 5 (rhino, buffalo, lion, leopard, and elephant) as well as prolific birdlife and other game.

Return to your hotel by lunchtime.

Optional Tour at an extra Cost:

Afternoon Open Vehicle Game Drive: Join an open vehicle safari with a highly qualified field guide who is eager to share their knowledge and passion for this unique wilderness area.

Overnight in Hazyview.

Accommodation: Hazyview Hippo Hollow Country Estate or similar.

Activities included today: Early Morning Game Drive at Kruger Park.

Day 5 - Wednesday: Hazyview - Swaziland

This morning, after breakfast we travel to Swaziland, an independent Kingdom within the borders of South Africa. Please note you need to bring your passport to the border Post; Some Nationalities may require a visa; please consult before departure.

Travel through the beautiful countryside, stop at Komati Valley Look-Out Point for a scenic photo opportunity. Visit The Matsamo Cultural Village for a tour and lunch.

Please note Swazi people don't like to have their photos taken. In their culture every picture taken takes away the spirits of their ancestors.

Arrive in the beautiful Ezulwini Valley and check-in at your Hotel for Dinner and Overnight.

Overnight in Swaziland.

Activities included today: Travel by road Hazyview - Swaziland. Along the way stop by the Komati Valley Look-Out Point and Visit The Matsamo Cultural Village.

Day 6 - Thursday: Swaziland - Zululand

After breakfast, we continue south through Swaziland before re-entering South Africa. Please note you need to present your Passport. Enroute visit the Swazi Candle Centre and Market.

Arrive at your Hotel in the northern part of Zululand.

Afternoon Hluhluwe-Imfolozi Open Vehicle Safari Game: Enjoy a 3-hour afternoon open vehicle safari into the Hluhluwe - Imfolozi Park, Africa's oldest game reserve, renowned for its white rhino conservation programme.

Overnight in Hluhluwe - Imfolozi region.

Accommodation: Anew Hotel Hluhluwe Hotel or similar.

Activities included today: Travel by road from Swaziland to Zululand. Along the way stop by the Candle & Market Center.

Day 7 - Friday: Zululand - Durban

After breakfast enjoy a free morning at leisure; take advantage of the Hotel's excellent location.

Explore the surroundings of this Hotel nestled between the Hluhluwe Game Reserve - home to the big five and the more magnificent St Lucia Wetland Park, a world heritage site.

Depart for Durban.

An orientation tour introduces us to this multicultural, seaside city before arriving at your Durban hotel in the late afternoon.

Game viewing Boat Cruise: Enjoy a game viewing boat cruise in St Lucia (weather permitting), getting up close to the sights and sounds of hippos and crocodiles and marveling at the birdlife.

Day 8 - Saturday: Durban - Drakensberg

Enjoy a leisurely breakfast or take an early morning stroll along the Promenade.

Today we head into the majestic Southern Drakensberg Mountains.

We visit the Howick Falls, continuing along the Southern Midlands Meander Route to arrive at our hotel.

You have the option to spend the afternoon at leisure or go fishing, hiking or horse riding (optional at an extra cost).

Accommodation: Drakensberg Gardens Resort or similar.
Meals included today: Breakfast and Dinner.
Activities included today: Enjoy free time in Durban. Travel by road Durban - Drakensberg Mountains along the way stop at Howick Falls.

Day 9 - Sunday: Drakensberg

Enjoy a full day at leisure soaking up the surroundings of the magnificent Southern Drakensberg Mountains or enjoying the many leisure activities at the resort.

Optional Tour at an extra Cost:

Sani Pass 4x4 Adventure Tour: Join a 4x4 tour up Sani Pass and into the tiny mountain Kingdom of Lesotho (passport required) which includes lunch at the highest pub in Africa.

Activities included today: Day of Leisure to explore the Drakensberg Mountains area.

Day 10 - Monday: Drakensberg - Eastern Cape Coast

After Breakfast; This morning we continue south to the Eastern Cape.

En route, we see the traditional way of life in the former homeland area known as the Transkei and stop for lunch (own account) outside the capital of Umtata.

We continue via Nelson Mandela's house, arriving late afternoon in Chintsa East, on the unspoiled Eastern Cape Coast.

Accommodation: Crawford's Beach Lodge or similar.
Meals included today: Breakfast and Dinner.
Activities included today: Travel down the Eastern Cape.

Day 11 - Tuesday: Eastern Cape Coast - Port Elizabeth

After Breakfast; have the morning at leisure to unwind on the kilometers-long beach or explore the thick indigenous coastal forest for birdlife.

We set off for Port Elizabeth in the late morning.

Overnight in Port Elizabeth.

Accommodation: Garden Court Kings Beach Hotel or similar.
Meals included today: Breakfast.
Activities included today: Free morning to explore the hotel surroundings. Travel by road to Port Elizabeth.

Day 12 - Wednesday: Port Elizabeth - Knysna

After Breakfast; our journey continues towards the Cape with a visit to the Tsitsikamma Forest.

A short walk to the Storms River Mouth offers magnificent views.

Arrive in Knysna late afternoon for check-in at our hotel.

Accommodation: Premier Resort The Moorings Knysna or similar.
Meals included today: Breakfast and Dinner.
Activities included today: Travel by road Port Elizabeth to Knysna along the way stop by The Tsitsikamma Forest.

Day 13 - Thursday: Knysna - Oudtshoorn - Mossel Bay

After Breakfast; Travel via the Outeniqua Pass to Oudtshoorn, the center of the world's ostrich farming industry.

We'll visit an ostrich farm for a guided tour, before touring the limestone caverns of the Cango Caves, one of the world's great natural wonders.

Continue your journey to Mossel Bay for Overnight.

Accommodation: Diaz Hotel & Resort or similar.
Meals included today: Breakfast.
Activities included today: Travel by road Knysna - Oudtshoorn. Along the way visit Ostrich Farm and the Cango Caves.

Day 14 - Friday: Mossel Bay - Cape Town

Today's journey takes us to Cape Town, with a stop in Albertinia to visit a famous Cape Aloe factory.

We drive via Swellendam, Worcester and through the Huguenot Tunnel before arriving in Cape Town in the late afternoon.

Accommodation: SunSquare Cape Town or Similar.
Meals included today: Breakfast.
Activities included today: Visit a Cape Aloe factory in Albertinia on the way to Cape Town.

Day 15 - Saturday: Cape Town

Breakfast at your Hotel.

This is a "trip of a lifetime" for anyone who wants to see raw nature at its best!

Just wanted to reply about the Africa trip.
IT WAS AMAZING! What an awesome experience. If it had cost twice as much, it still would have been a bargain.
I travel a lot for leisure (4 to 6 international trips a year) and this trip was without a doubt, the best trip I have ever had. The lodgings were superb. The personal attention was perfect and the experiences were brilliant. We saw so many animals (up close and personal!).....

My trip to Africa was absolutely perfect the people that you guys work with are amazing they're kind and no just want to do to make one feel welcome and capable. The first resort, the was beyond imagination. There was 5 safaris and we saw huge numbers of animals.... special kudos to Cobus our guide.
Victoria Falls and the chobe river were incredible. Best guides and beautiful river resort. Our guide, Sindi was also just amazing.....
