Day 1: Departure
Board your International flight to Lima Peru, we offer departures from most major Cities in Canada or the USA.
American and Canadian Passport holders do not need a Visa. Your passport has to be valid for six months past your return date, and have empty pages.
Day 2: Lima
Welcome to Peru!
Arrival to Lima's international airport. Reception by a representative and transfer to hotel.
Overnight Lima.

Day 3: Lima
Breakfast at hotel. Morning at leisure.
In the afternoon we start our tour with a panoramic view of the "Pucllana Pyramid" a magnificent ceremonial and archeological center built in the 4th century a.D. and considered a "sacred village" by the Incas.
Then we visit the Historical Center of Lima, where you will appreciate more than fifty monuments and Colonial edifications, such as the Paseo de la República, the San Martín Square, the Main Square, the Government Palace, the Archbishop's Palace, the Cathedral Basilica, and the City Council Palace amongst others.
We will visit the monumental San Francisco Convent, which displays the largest collection of religious art in America. Our highlight will be the visit of the underground vaults, known as "Catacumbas" or Catacombs. Finally, we will visit traditional residential areas of Lima, such as El Olivar of San Isidro, Miraflores and Larcomar. Return to hotel.

Day 4: Lima - Cusco
Breakfast at hotel. Transfer to the airport to board your local flight to Cusco.
Arrival, and transfer to hotel in Cusco. Rest of morning at leisure to acclimatize to the altitude. In the afternoon pick up for your City Tour Cusco where you will visit The Cathedral, Koricancha (Temple of the Sun) and the nearby ruins: Qenqo (Ceremonial and Ritual center, place where sacrifices were made), Puca Pucara (this complex was probably used by Emperor Pachacutec as a tambo), Tambomachay (also called "The Bath of the Inca") and Sacsayhuaman Fortress.
Transfer to hotel. Overnight Cusco.

Day 5: Cusco - Sacred Valley
Breakfast at hotel.
In the morning departure by bus to Awanacancha a place where you can appreciate the beauty of the Peruvian Andes with its south American camels and derivaties gotten thanks to the majestic, traditional and modern technique (dyeing, spinning, weaving process) including used materials and live weaving by the people of the Peruvian Andes. Also, visit the famous Indian market of Pisac, a delightful place where you can bargain for the goodies with the local street vendors.
Free time to have lunch by your own. After that, continue to the majestic fortress of Ollantaytambo.

Day 6: Sacred Valley - Ollantaytambo - Wiñaywayna - Machu Picchu - Aguas Calientes
Transfer to the station in order to board the train that will lead them to the KM104, located in the railroad Cusco-Machu Picchu. KM104 will be our departure point for the adventure and we will be arriving there at 10:00 am.
At this point we will leave the train and start walking to the city of Machu Picchu, across the Urubamba River through a bridge that offers a spectacular view of the mountains.
During the trip we will make our first visit to one of the Inca sites known as Cachabamba, a beautiful palace with nice walls carved in stone. Then our guide will explain part of the story of the Incas.
We will start walking again and start climbing through a mountain totally covered by vegetation, for about 8 Km (4 hours), until we arrive to Wiñaywayna, located at a height of 2700 meters above sea level. After Machu Picchu, Wiñaywayna is one of the most beautiful buildings made by the Incas, is a cloudy forest. Wiñaywana shows a perfect example of the agriculture during Incas time, showing a great number of terraces, where the Incas used to grow different plants and vegetables, including coca leaves. The name of Wiñaywayna comes from a beautiful orchid which grows in that region and means "forever young". After Lunch continue our walk towards a cloudy forest until the Inti Punko or "Sun Gate". At this point the adventurers shall have access to the most amazing view of the city of Machu Picchu. This is a very special site, where we will rest for some minutes and take a lot of pictures of Machu Picchu. After we will descend towards Machu Picchu (the guided visit will be next day) and we will arrive to the town of Aguas Calientes where we will spend the night in a hotel.
At night the passengers will explore and get to know the little town. You will have the option to try the thermal baths located in the superior part of the city near the Main Square. - Maximum altitude: 2700 M

- Approximate walking time: 6 to 7 hours. Overnight Aguas Calientes.

Day 7: Cusco - Machu Picchu - Cusco
Very early, at 5:00 am, after the breakfast we will depart to experience a perfect visit to the ruins of Machu Picchu. You will need to leave early to avoid congestion with other groups of tourists and enjoy the spectacular view of sunrise over the mountains of Machu Picchu.
To reach the ruins of Machu Picchu, it is necessary to take the local bus. This short bus ride takes only 20 minutes, and runs an unpaved track, very steep and winding through a jungle and mountain features stunning views. Finally, we arrive at Machu Picchu, where our guide will accompany us on a tour of the most important sectors of this beautiful citadel. In Machu Picchu we will go 2 hours with our guide and visit the agricultural area, consisting of sets of agricultural terraces, the urban area where the occupants lived and where some of the main civil and religious activities.
We will also visit the Intiwatana of Machu Picchu, located on the top of the citadel, the Temple of the Sun, the Condor and other major sectors. - Maximum altitude: 2400 M
- Minimum Altitude: 2000 M
- Approximate walking time: 2 to 3 hours. Later we have free time to explore the city on our own account. Around 13:00, we will be taking the bus back to Aguas Calientes. Next, take the train back to Ollantaytambo and then once the train has arrived to the train station, the passengers will be transferred to their respective hotels in Cusco. Overnight Cusco.
